This is our first release in VRChat, and might be lacking in features compared to similar products but we hope to improve functionality and expand our offerings in the future! If you are familiar with our products in Second Life, then you’ll be familiar with our policy regarding updates: Forever free, even if we completely overhaul the product!

Avatar is ‘Good’ performance by default.

The Kritter Kobold is currently only Desktop compatible.

Full body tracking has not been tested.

Customizable facial expressions not yet implemented.

Materials are currently Poiyomi only, but we may include Standard shader versions in a future update.

Features:

This avatar features a plethora of blend shapes and some basic poses for funsies.

It currently only supports English Visemes.

The ears, tail, arm and leg fluff contain Phys Bones. The chest does not.

Gesture overrides provided to correct hands to avoid unsightly clipping, works with default hand poses.

All function components and Phys Bone components are neatly stored within Empties in the Hierarchy for clean file organization. Nothing is stored on the mesh/armature itself.

Tail will collide with the floor relative to the Avatar. You can remove/disable this by removing the Floor collider from the Tail Phys bone Component.

Noteworthy information:

Unity may throw an error about bone order. The prefab is unpacked to prevent Unity from reordering the bones. I’m looking to resolve this permanently in the future. This should only be an issue if you’re exporting the FBX and reimporting it to Unity.

Body uses 1 Diffuse, 4k Resolution, 1 Normal, 2k resolution, and 1 AO pass, 2k resolution.

(The body diffuse was uprezzed from its original 2k source, as this avatar was originally developed for Second Life).

Info card: 1 material, 1024x512 Resolution texture

Eyes and Whites use 1 texture each, 512 and 256 squared diffuse respectively.

How to install:

Using VCC, create a new project for your Avatar following current guides.

Before loading the project, be sure to install VRCFury and Poiyomi to your project to avoid any errors on import.

Extract the contents of your Product file(.7z or .zip) to your preferred location.

With your plugins installed and your files extracted, load up your project, then drag and drop the .Unitypackage file into the ‘Project’ bin of the Unity editor.

Confirm the import, then open the included scene file by clicking file>open and choose your desired version (where applicable.)

You’re now ready to upload your avatar as is, or customize it to your heart’s content!

Those unwilling to abide by these terms are forbidden from purchasing our works which may include but is not limited to: Avatars, accessories, alternate part kits, textures, PSDs, Substance Painter, .Blend, .FBX, and .UnityPackage, etc are henceforth referred to as “Products” or “Files”.

We reserve the right to alter these terms when necessary for the purposes of protecting our works and our buyers.

The terms are as follows:

Purchases of products are made on a per-user basis; no bulk licenses are offered at this time.

All purchases are final, as no refunds can be given for a digital item.

Once purchased, you MAY:

  • Use the provided files for altering your purchased Product, and for creating custom accessories and prefabs, for personal or commercial purposes. (Please see “Commercial Use” below for more information).
  • Commission custom recolors/retextures from a third party, and provide the individual the Substance Painter and PSD files for this purpose. (Please see “Commercial Use” below for more information)
  • Use your purchased Product for Vtubing, streaming, or with other Unity-based virtual reality platforms/games such as NeosVR, Resonite, or Beat Saber, including monetized content such as Youtube videos or Twitch streams. (We cannot guarantee compatibility with anything other than VRChat and thus cannot provide support for issues that arise as a result of conversion for these platforms.)
  • Create 18+ content for the Product unless stated otherwise.
  • Create art using the purchased Product, such as references, renders or animations. 3D prints are permitted for personal use and private commissions, but the print, STL and/or 3D Model must not be made available otherwise.
  • Show us what you make! Share your creations and modifications in the Discord or on your social media of choice with the hashtag #KinzartKreetures :)

You may NOT:

  • Upload the avatar as Public or make it cloneable, even for assets you’re selling for our Products.
  • Claim ownership of the Product or Files, regardless of the changes made to it.
  • Claim ownership of any Original species attributed to Penumbra/Kinzart.
  • Use models, textures or animations included with the Product on any other products. (This does not apply to custom scratch-made assets, or assets acquired through other means with their own licenses.)
  • Use any part of the Product or Files with the intent to cause harm or promote hate speech and/or hateful imagery.
  • Use any part of the Product or Files in any way, shape, or form for NFTs, Cryptocurrency, or Web3 applications.
  • Use any parts of the Product or Files for generative AI or large language models.
  • Use any part of the Product or Files in game projects, platforms, services, or mods outside of the examples given above.
  • Purchase the Product with the intent to distribute it outside of our official channels. Please support independent creators. If you are experiencing issues acquiring our products legitimately, please reach out to us and we will do our best to work something out for you.

Commercial Use:

  • You may commission others/be commissioned for custom textures for the Product, and provide/be provided the included PSDs and Substance Painter file as needed - Reminder that these files are not to be used on any other Product with the exception of those made for our works.
  • Commissions for custom accessories or model changes to the Product require that both parties own the Product through legitimate means.
  • Altered versions of the Product may be sold as modifications to the original Product, but cannot be sold as a substitute or alternative to the original Product.
